Our Story.
Our owners Dr Mark, Dr Michelle, Dr Damien and Vicki had a simple vision. They wanted a place that was fun, had the very best animal care at its heart, a place where everyone could flourish. It had to be community based and compassionate.
So, The Shire Vet was born.
Our Vision.
We are three vets and a vet nurse who for a long time wanted to open a vet hospital with a difference. Our shared vision was to create the very best vet team we could and give the highest standard of veterinary care. We wanted to share our love of animals and for local families to feel part of our vet family.
Our focus is on the dedicated people that make up our team. We wanted to create a hospital environment that was nurturing and collaborative, a place that was inclusive and supportive of each other’s individual dreams.
We are very proud to be independently owned by our four directors, Dr Mark, Dr Michelle, Dr Damien and Vicki.

Our dream hospital needed to be purpose built. We combined all the great aspects of a vet hospital and incorporated all that was needed to support us in our vision.
